More annoying medical idiocy on Medical Investigation:

Patient Donny is in respiratory arrest. Miles is trying to stabilize him, and starts an attempt at intubation. Connor, assisting, checks Donny's pulse, and fails to find one. Miles (a NON-acid-using doctor, thank you very much) enlists someone with the cry, "Start chest compressions!" Connor throws back, "Miles! MILES! There's no use...he's gone."

That's all good and dramatic and all, but let me tell you something: When it becomes necessary to do CPR on someone, they are clinically dead (i.e. "gone"). That's WHY we do CPR. So if Donny stops breathing and you can't find his pulse, Miles was SO correct in wanting to intubate and begin CPR. Suck on that, Connor.
