Kudos to the guy at Big Mike's Super Subs @ Lyndale & Lake. He offered me a free cookie if I'd run outside and get some details on the car accident that had just occured on the corner. True, I have been blessed with the Minnesotan Gift for Gawking, but I was kinda in a hurry to get to my sandwich, so I just giggled and politely declined. But then I got out to my car, got to thinking about that damn cookie, gave into the temptation, asked around to see what was up, and rushed back into the shop to claim my handsome reward. Score!!!

CWMIR: Did you know it's Columbus Day today? I mean, who cares about frickin' Columbus anyways? He was a homicidal jerk, as far as I see it. Why does he get a day to keep me from buying stamps? Grr!

And, I forgot to post the Diagnostic Microbiology Song of the Week, too. Week 5: More Gram-Negatives and Clean Catch/Catheterized Urine Specimens brought forth that old favorite, "It's All About the Proteus." If only I could hire P. Diddy to throw me a j.lo-&-handgun-friendly party and have him perform this little ditty a couple of times. Someday, my friends, someday. I was totally pulling for "SMAC" to the tune of "Shaft," but Too-Bad-He's-Engaged-Scott couldn't seem to remember any of the words to it.

Pop quiz: What's the perfect cure for a horrible date with a possessive/jealous guy who you wish would just stop calling you 46 times a day and exit your life as quickly as he entered? *Jeopardy music, Alex Trebek's such a stereotypical Canadian, blah blah blah* Alright, the answer is: Go out with your fun guy friends, drink a lot, and hit up a skanky strip club at 3 AM. Buy your super-gay bud a private lap dance from the hottest girl there, and then have her return him to his seat, point at you, and say, "You're next, sweetie." Awesome night, for sure.

Also, can I just say today is absolutely gorgeous? I think I love fall so much cuz of the clarity of the sunshine. Like, in summer, it's really sunny and bright outside, but there's also an icky hazy sweatiness in the air that you can actually see. Fall doesn't have that, you see. Just crispy clear sunlight and that yummy winter-is-coming smell. Holla if ya hear me, cuz I don't think I'm alone on this one.
