Results of First Week of Diagnostic Microbiology Lab: Patient has yeast infection as indicated by heavy growth of Candida tropicalis cultured from a rectal swab. Specimen tested positive on CHROMagar and presented germ tubes in a wet mount on rabbit serum.

Yep, a rectal swab. Chew on that for awhile.
